******Instructions for a "Silent Movie" Effect using the ADO******* Begin by programming a keyframe with reduced luminance in the solarization section, and then one or more frames with normal luminance. This produces the flickering effect. To complete the effect, try adding some posterization for a grainy look and/or a freeze frame for a "herky-jerky" motion. The keyframes should be each 1 or 2 frames long. A color corrector can add the final touches by sepia toning the image or simply kill the color in the ADO. The method for killing the color is described in the message section of this BBS. Effect created by Tim Schaller, staff editor, Pacific Video Resources, San Francisco.
